The versatile and compact external crossover allows the 6-1/2″ 2-way component system to function as a full 3-way system with the addition of the 3″ Harman/Kardon Flow 300S midrange speaker. The Aluminum Deep Ceramic Composite (DCC) cones offer damping through “constrained layer damping” that moves the cone’s breaking points outside the driver’s frequency range, allowing the driver to maintain ideal cone movement throughout its range.
