Description

Requests breath sample, activates ignition
Before starting the engine, the Dräger Interlock XT requests a breath sample. If alcohol is detected above a specified limit, the immobilizer system prevents the engine from starting. Otherwise, the starter motor is activated so that the driver can start the vehicle. The device will also periodically prompt the driver to repeat the test while driving. The device will not interfere with engine operation once the engine has been started, but the event will be recorded.

High measurement precision
The Dräger Interlock XT determines the alcohol concentration in exhaled air via an electrochemical sensor system. The device is only sensitive to alcohol.

Fast usability
To avoid long waiting times, Dräger has made it a point to ensure that the Interlock XT is ready for use quickly. Its functionality is just as good at -40 °F or +185 °F as under normal conditions. The "XT" suffix stands for "eXtended Temperature".

Safe from manipulation
The device immediately detects any attempt to use aids, such as air pumps or filters, to bypass the Dräger Interlock XT. In such cases, it prevents the engine from starting.

All events are recorded in a data memory
The data memory records more than 30,000 events and can be read via special software for PC.

This product is fully functional but used/second-hand and is not approved for the conditional driver's license program.
